Study Insight
During 23th and 24th December, I had the honor to head for Jiujiang City with another five colleagues from Anqing Foreign Language School to attend the head teachers’ study group.
First of all, on the morning of 23th December, Li Zhenxi’s disciple, teacher Guo Wenhong conducted a course of lectures with two themes ‘Join Hands with Parents& Grow Together’ and ‘Implement Parental Upbringing& Keep A Diary Together’. In combination with the actual work experience, Guo Wenhong taught us how to cooperate with parents and get support from them to better promote students’ development.
Second of all, in the afternoon, Li Zhenxi’s another disciple, teacher Wang Chuanhai opened a lecture with the subject of ‘Creating a Perfect Classroom full of Cultural Belief’. Wang Chuanhai introduced the methods and experience regarding how to found a perfect classroom in ten aspects, which made all of us deeply inspired as well as admire his education wisdom and inquisitive spirit.
Third of all, on 24th December, teacher Li Zhenxi held a seminar himself. In the morning, he presented his own growing experience by asking himself a question periodically ‘Could I make a step forward?’ During his more-than-20-year headteacher career, Li Zhenxi recorded his conversations with most of his students and preserved the materials, which made me sincerely admire him. He mentioned that a teacher should have childlike innocence, a loving heart and a sense of responsibility. However, a teacher was also supposed to teach well, lead the class well and let students score well. What’s more, a teacher should practise, think, read and write unceasingly. Furthermore, in the afternoon, the topical subject was ‘Children’s Perspective on Education’. Li Zhenxi told his own six education stories, each of which was so gorgeous and authentic.
Fourth of all, the two days’ learning benefited us a lot. We were determined to learn from what Li Zhenxi proposed, which could be interpreted as a loving heart, childlike innocence, esteem and democracy. On the other hand, we were supposed to have vast and profound feelings, correct ideas, overcome occupational burnout, continuously reinforce learning, stimulate education intelligence in addition to forging an efficient classroom.
In brief, let us remember what teacher Li Zhenxi told us: to enable them to feel happy because of my existence.
